Weathervane Motel

Great location for our trip. Big room and the AC worked but seriously dated. Soap from a previous guest I assume still left in the shower. Wouldn't stay there again but ok for our purpose.

Room smelled like mildew, took 5 minutes to feel hot water in small unclean shower then mid shower the water completely shut off. Bad WiFi and not clean

We ended up not staying there. It was a scary property. After reading the comments we should have never reserved this disgusting place. It has a very bad history. Not what I remember from years ago.

It was a bad weekend at this place we had a room with the very very crazy floor that went up and down (not level). We had NO WATER Saturday morning NO WATER SATURDAY nite, we couldn't wash in the morning or evening and again Sunday morning for a while! I don't think we would stay there again with those problems!!

The rooms are so dated with wall-to-wall carpet, throw pillows, heavy flora wallpaper and drapes. There was only 1 small towel, it was a disaster. The worst was the dead spider in the middle of the floor. WE DID NOT STAY CANCELLED.

I can deal with the outdated decor and lack of amenities. I am not ok with the fact that the water completely stopped running while I was mid-shower, and that the manager had no good explanation or apology. I will not stay here again, and I suggest that you don’t either.

Things were clean, but definitely low end and hasn’t been updated in a long time. Nothing horrible, but not super impressive. Think “Schitt’s Creek” vibes. Water took absolutely forever to warm up. Fridge, but no microwave. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room smelled slightly off when we walked in; again, not awful, but not fresh. Lawn was very overgrown. We only stayed for sleeping, so none of it was make or break for us. Nothing to really complain about, but nothing to write home about either.

The rooms were clean but smelled of mildew and hadn’t been updated in decades.

The Weathervane was fine for a one night stay where I just needed a bed without breaking the bank but be wary of the quality you’re getting. The room was decently clean but definitely outdated and could do with pretty extensive renovations. Carpet, comforter, curtains, and walls were stained and counter tops were mysteriously sticky, but the linens were clean and the bed was very comfortable. WiFi info was written on a wrinkled sticky note, which would be easy to miss. No overhead lights but there were lots of lamps, the bathroom was well lit, and the natural light from the big back yard was nice. My biggest complaints/concerns were that the front door had no deadbolt, just the lock in the handle, which didn’t seem very secure. The check in process is also not very straightforward. It seems that the owner/manager lives on the property, but no one came to the door when we rang the doorbell for the office. One of the staff members had to call someone to come down and hand us a key. They were not the friendliest nor very informative, don’t expect high quality service. I also ran out of water mid shower and had no running water for the rest of the night. It was back on again in the morning, but overall I didn’t feel the quality of the stay was worth the price. Book with caution.
