Great stay right in the park. Friendly and helpful stuff, amazing location, good breakfast (not included). We only planned to stay one night but would definitely recommend to stay longer.

The location of this property is perfect, situated between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. It's a very nice hotel. The room was very comfortable, and the shared terrace with rocking chairs was a lovely touch. We weren't able to have breakfast at the restaurant, which seemed more like a fast-food place with ordering kiosks. Plus, the kiosks weren't working during our visit, and since there were a lot of people waiting, we decided to eat elsewhere. The proximity to General Grant Tree is a big plus; we were able to visit it very early in the morning, almost by ourselves.

Excellent facility in the woods to enjoy true nature. The cafe breakfast and dinner options are limited to 1 restaurant but based on the location where this place is (right in the middle of nowhere and in the mountains) - I believe that is acceptable. The food is good, not 5 stars but not bad either. very close to major attractions.

John Muir is the best location you can get! And it is dog-friendly. We enjoyed the really clean rooms, wonderful fluff towels, and just a nice lobby with amenities like microwave, hot water, and coffee all included. I was also impressed they have a water filter Elkay machine. It’s nice to get shelter from the weather and see people around enjoying themselves!
