We booked three nights at Les Violettes with our three young children, expecting peace and relaxation. Instead, on two out of three nights, the hotel hosted large-scale events with many outside visitors, extremely loud music and live performances until 12:30 a.m. In our room, it honestly sounded as if the band was performing next to our bed. What makes this unacceptable is the lack of proper information beforehand. We were informed that a special dinner would take place, but we were not told that it would continue until after midnight, with extremely loud music and live performances that could seriously disturb hotel guests. Had we known that, we would never have booked our stay during these dates. We later learned that these events take place every month, so this was clearly known and planned. The events also seem to be mainly for people from outside the hotel, while hotel guests are left to deal with the disruption. For two evenings, the entire hotel revolved around these events, and we couldn’t even have a normal dinner in the restaurant. For a hotel in this price range, this is unacceptable. We paid a lot of money for three days of rest and ended up with two terrible nights of noise, frustration and hardly any sleep. The compensation offered was nowhere near adequate. Had we been properly informed in advance about the duration and level of noise, we would never have booked Les Violettes.
