Silver Bay YMCA Inn and Conference Center

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the tour I received from the cart driver (I totaly forgot her name, but I do remember she met her husband there and has been volunteering there for many years) She has a passion for the place and after the tour I could see why. Grounds had everything you would need to make your overnight stay or week long stay memorable and relaxing. I was able to fish off the dock, watch the young adults play home run derby on the ball field and enjoy a great dinner at the restaurant. Was a little concerned about no TV and no AC in the room. Room was a little hot during the day, but with everything there is to do, why stay inside. Night time, I put the fan in the window, turned the ceiling fan on and slept like a baby. I was only there for 1 night, but would go back again. Maybe next time for a little longer.

Excellent staff , a lot of activities. Beautiful landscape , hiking, swimming, biking, boating. And much much more. Great for families. Free coffee, water. Go online check at the pictures. Don’t expect a hotel it’s a camp. Close to Bolton Landing for restaurants and see all the activities offered. We are returning with the family. 5 stars

Property is spread across several builds, the room was more sparse than a college dorm room and not in the main building shown in the ad. Parking was a long walk to the building. Breakfast was three buildings away. I did not stay, immediately checked out and went somewhere else. To their credit I was refunded for the room.

Great property, amenities and amazing staff! Free breakfast and parking. And of course, the location! We love it here!

Refrigerator microwave air conditioner in rooms. Breakfast was always cold . Other than that the place was very clean and nice . Definitely a place to consider going back

The surrounding environment is wonderful, lake front, beautiful place to walk around. we stayed in The economy room, the bedding quality was poor. Bathroom was clean though. The whole building is very old and it smells in the hallway.

The Inn is a 100+ year old building, charming and comfortable, but for a modern, upscale facility, only William Boyd Center fits that description. The surroundings are beautiful and there are lots of outdoor activities to engage in.

OMG! What is this place even? No a/c and the fan just circulated the warm air which is not helpful at all. I slept on a twin bed for the first time in my life. I got a room with 2 twin beds. Apparently that’s an upgrade. I paid close to $200 for this. Everything looked like it was designed for an 8 yrs old kid. Sink and toilet are way lower than usual. The entire property had these pipes running all over the place overhead. I don’t know . I had a weird feeling in my stomach during my stay at this place. Not at all worth the money. I really don’t even know why ******* recommended this place to me at the first place as I am a solo traveler. I’m not going on a summer camp trip. Total bummer.

It was like staying at a resort. The receptionist accidentally re-charged me for the same booking- which when I inquired about later since it exceeded the typical hold for damages the receptionist was friendly and helpful, and immediately refunded the money. They used keys instead of updated key pads. There was no lotion in the room which is not a huge deal. I bring my own supplies. Breakfast I was told was at 7 for grab and go and 7:30 for hot food. It was actually 7:30 8 a.m. for hot food. I didn't mind I just sat and waited the view by the windows was breathtaking. The only other thing that I would say is check the website for activities they admit that's the best way for accuracy. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. The view from the lakefront hotel was beautiful. The beach was small and private. I loved the hiking trails, and quiet atmosphere. I would recommend this to a friend. Oh, there is wifi, but there was no television in the room, or microwaves. The restaurant was also not open, and there were limited places to go to eat. So be prepared. :) The parking lot was also limited, and it took me a few minutes to find where our room was, the buttons for handicapped also didn't work. Nothing to deter me from coming back.
