Using a dynamic synthesis of imagery and sound, it visually showcases Shanghai's ever-changing urban transformation - skyscrapers rising from the ground, record heights being constantly surpassed, until the Shanghai Tower emerged as the city's new pinnacle and landmark.

Skyscraper dream: This exhibit combines China's cutting-edge self-illuminating transparent screen technology with crystal-clear architectural models to comprehensively reveal the secrets of skyscrapers. It traces the evolutionary journey of world's tallest buildings since 1885, showcasing humanity's relentless pursuit of the "skyscraper dream." Featuring professional rankings of global high-rises through 2020 provided by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), it serves as a panoramic window into the world of supertall architecture.

Gene bank: The gene bank unveils the entire process of Shanghai Tower's vertical city planning, creation, and construction. It simulates over 10 world-first innovations including sky gardens and damping systems, revealing the hidden genetic architecture of this iconic skyscraper.

Vertical city: The vertical city exhibition area employs cutting-edge 3D printing technology to showcase a 1:350 scale nylon model of the building. Through an integrated multimedia display combining main and auxiliary screens with sound, light, and electrical effects, it presents Shanghai Tower's rainwater collection system, double-glazed curtain walls, BIM construction technology, Shanghai Girl sculpture, and Fish Joy painting - all highlighting the greener, smarter, and more cultural aspects that embody the concept of a vertical city.

The Shanghai Tower Top Sightseeing Hall features three of the world's fastest elevators, reaching speeds of up to 18m per second. In just 55 seconds, you'll ascend to the 118th-floor observation deck. Screens inside the elevators display real-time speed, altitude, and direction during your ride. Visitors are consistently amazed by both the breathtaking speed and the remarkable comfort and stability of these elevators.
