Show More ReviewsMust-See in Xitang During Summer Vacation | Off-the-Beaten-Path Routes 💫 🌦Weather| July and August are the hottest months of summer ☀️, with daytime temperatures reaching 33-36℃. Outdoor walking is not recommended at midday. Afternoon showers are frequent and sudden, followed by intense muggy weather. High humidity and abundant mosquitoes are essential; sunscreen and mosquito repellent are a must. The best time to visit is after sunset when temperatures drop. · 🚉Transportation & Accommodation| 🚗Driving Guide: Parking is available at the South Gate parking lot in Nanxun Ancient Town. The facilities are excellent, and it's only a two-minute walk from the parking lot to the scenic area entrance, making it easy to bring luggage in. 🏡Accommodation Tips: Guesthouses located on the main street are built right on the street, and noise from tourists and restaurants can still be heard late at night, so soundproofing is limited. Light sleepers should avoid guesthouses on the main street and choose those on the outskirts of the ancient town for a better rest. · 📸Must-Visit Attractions ▪️Xiyuan Garden🌳: Hidden deep in the alleys, this garden is lush with greenery and shaded by large trees, offering a place to rest when you're tired. ▪️Shipinong Alley🪨: A popular, narrow, ancient alleyway with a sliver of light and shadow, perfect for taking photos. ▪️Zuiyuan Garden🍃: A charming courtyard, less crowded and peaceful, avoiding large tour groups. · 🍜Recommended Restaurants ▫️Qian Yuman Nostalgic View Restaurant🌿: The second-floor terrace offers panoramic views of the water town at night. Their signature dish, braised pork knuckle with mountain eggs, is tender and flavorful, while the peach blossom wine is refreshing and delicious. · ▫️Qian Miaoyun Crab Roe Noodles🌊: Riverside seating provides excellent photo opportunities. The noodles are made with freshly extracted crab roe, and the accompanying dessert is both beautiful and delicious. • ▫️Linxiao Restaurant🥢, an authentic local family-style eatery, always packed. Their signature stir-fried spicy dry pot frog has a moderate spiciness that's palatable to most. · 🍲Lu's Wonton: A family-run eatery run by an elderly couple. The wonton wrappers are paper-thin, and the flavorful broth with scallions is light and refreshing. · 🍘Weirong Snacks: A breakfast spot locals have been eating at since childhood. Their pan-fried dumplings have a crispy bottom and are filled with juicy broth—authentically delicious. · 🍩Radish Cake: A street food stall, freshly fried at high temperature with minimal oil, the sweet radish balancing the richness of the fried filling.
