Hotels in Hongdae, Seoul

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; it's right next to a subway station, literally just a wall away on the upper floor. It's also only a one-minute walk to the pedestrian street entrance. I was worried about crowded elevators, but that wasn't an issue at all. The staff were also quite friendly. The only downsides were the very limited breakfast selection and the poor soundproofing in the rooms. There was someone stomping around upstairs – not sure which country they were from! Overall, my stay was pretty perfect.

I prefer staying in guesthouses when I travel alone. This one offered great value for money. Usually, I stay on the main street of Hongdae for easy shopping, but this time I tried Yeonnam-dong and it was surprisingly good too. It's not far from the main Hongdae street, just a five to six-minute walk from Hongdae Subway Exit 2. There are restaurants and convenience stores right outside, which is super convenient. The place was very clean, and it even had a stove so I could cook my own noodles – just remember to manually turn on the switch and light it with a lighter, so be careful when using it. My ground-floor room had a private bathroom, which was a big plus. The only minor drawback was the window, which didn't let in much light, but other than that, it's a real gem for solo travelers looking for great value.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to the left after exiting Hongik University Station Exit 1. Cross the street, and you're in the Hongdae shopping area, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and browsing. We arrived at the hotel late at night, and the reception staff were polite and attentive. They explained the hotel services and asked if we wanted to use the pool, also specially mentioning that there might be slight noise from nearby construction after 8 AM (though we didn't actually notice any). The room was well-equipped (you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste), the air conditioning worked great, and the space was sufficient. Our room was cleaned daily. It was a very pleasant experience and definitely worth recommending!

Splurged a little on this product on our last day in Seoul and it’s totally worth it. Lynn, the employee who helped us with the check in is a total sweetheart. We had quite a hard time traveling with a child who’s physically challenged from another city and was worn out. Lynn not only helped us with an early check in, upgraded our room, and offered a baby cot to ease our convenience and comfort. She speaks good English, is always smiley and shows empathy when handling customers. The room condition is good, spacious considering its location in Seoul. Amenities wise not much can be provided due to the EHS policy (no one time use disposal items provided). Great location, close to the airport bus, subway, eateries and shopping district.

This is a pretty convenient place for solo travelers. - It's located on the Hongdae shopping street, but towards the end, very close to Sangsu Subway Station (Line 6, Exit 1). It's super easy to get around. - The accommodation was easy to find. There's a Chinese restaurant downstairs, and the entrance is right next to it with an elevator, which is incredibly convenient. - They provide your room number and a code for the floor. You can check in one day prior and leave your luggage in front of your room before the actual check-in time. The property mentioned they have CCTV, so there's no need to worry about your bags. - The room has a traditional key, not an automatic door. Inside, there are plenty of amenities: a fridge, TV, water heater, slippers, a hairdryer, several small towels, a heater, air conditioning, and two types of tissues. - I read reviews saying the place could be noisy, but it was quite quiet when I stayed. I could occasionally hear cars and people on the pedestrian street outside at night (especially on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays). - There's a convenience store nearby, so it's easy to find food. Cons: - The bed has springs and isn't very soft. The pillow is flat and thin, so if you like sleeping with multiple pillows, you might find it uncomfortable. Also, I could smell the restaurant downstairs in the room. No complimentary bottled water. Overall, it's great, and if I travel alone again, I'll definitely come back.

Used it as a layover hotel. It's one of my favorite neighborhoods in Seoul, so the location is great, and it is quite a nice property, but I was very jetlagged and did almost nothing but eat dinner and sleep, so I probably will opt for a hotel near Incheon next time.

Location: Hotel is located right in the heart of Hongdae so there are lots of shops and food options. It is within a couple of minutes walk from exit 9 of Hongik University train station. Airport limousine bus service 6002 also stops right across the street. Absolutely convenient though the convenience does come with the con of a noisy surrounding, especially on weekends Breakfast: Only has 2 choices of american or korean breakfast. Menu didn't change throughout the 4 days when we were there. Food is decent and not much to nitpick on for the price point

The location is excellent. It’s within walking distance of Hapjeong Station, there is a large CU convenience store nearby, and a Woori Bank directly across the street. There are also plenty of cafés, salons, and other useful amenities in the area, making it a very convenient place to stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They kindly allowed me to check in earlier than scheduled, which I really appreciated after traveling. On the downside, there was a noticeable smell in my room that never fully went away. The air conditioner was positioned directly above the bed, so whenever it was on, the cold air blew straight onto my face. Since the weather was hot, turning it off wasn’t really an option, and I ended up sleeping at the opposite end of the bed to avoid the airflow. My main concern was the bedding. I found a long black hair and another short black hair on the bed sheets, neither of which were mine, and the sheet itself had a tear in it. The rest of the room appeared reasonably clean, but the condition and cleanliness of the bedding left a less favorable impression. Overall, the hotel has a great location and wonderful staff, but I think more attention should be given to room freshness and bedding cleanliness.

The location is excellent, within walking distance to the center of Hongdae, surrounded by many shops, convenience stores, and restaurants. However, it's about a 900-meter walk to the subway station and around 400 meters to the bus stop, situated on a small hill. It's very suitable for solo travelers. The third floor is for female guests, with capsule-like beds where you can store your luggage underneath. Water, towels, slippers, and earplugs are provided, along with three power outlets. Breakfast is served on the second floor, offering boiled eggs and bread, and there's a microwave. You're not allowed to eat in the rooms; food must be taken to the common areas. There are about 7-8 showers and 4 toilets, equipped with hairdryers and toiletries. The soundproofing is quite good (even though shops downstairs are open late, the accommodation area is very quiet), and guests generally keep noise to a minimum. The only downside is that the toilets are really small, making it inconvenient to open and close the door.

Staff were really helpful, air conditioning was strong, water heater was good and fridge was big spacious and cold! Only thing was that my window couldnt close and once the wind blew my window would fly open. I didnt know how to turn on the shower and the in-house plumber 할아버지 came to the rescue swiftly. Slippers and toothbrushes are not provided so do bring your own! One suitcase can lay fully open behind the door so couples might have to keep their suitcases closed. Large 7e just round the corner and if u walk further theres also CU and GS25. There are busstops as near as 3mins walk away, so with the climate card getting to the subway station free of charge was sweet. Would definitely reccommend and would definitely stay again!
