Electra Metropolis

The hotel is located in the city center with very convenient transportation, and the service attitude was also great. However, the view from the room we were assigned was really mediocre—it faced someone's kitchen or something, which was quite a turn-off. The restaurant is fantastic, offering a view of the Acropolis, and having breakfast there was a wonderful experience.

Great location, but the standard room is very small. Be careful when booking and double-check. Usually, other hotels provide two bottles of water per night for a one-night stay, but here, for a 6-night stay, they only provided two 200ml bottles of water on the first day of check-in. However, they did give two small chocolate bars every day. Breakfast was quite good but had limited options, so staying for multiple nights might get boring as the menu doesn't change. The staff were lovely and friendly. During check-out, be careful to double-check how much more you need to pay the hotel, as they might overcharge, but they will refund the money.

Our entire trip to Athens was spent at the A for Athens Hotel, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens! The hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of the Old Town, just a 3-minute walk to Monastiraki Square, and a mere ten-minute stroll to the Acropolis and Plaka Old Town. Metro stations, local eateries, and affordable supermarkets are abundant nearby, making both getting around and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel's biggest highlight is its rooftop terrace bar, offering an unobstructed panoramic view of both the Acropolis and Mount Lycabettus. Coming up for a drink at sunset truly sets a fantastic mood, and it's an excellent spot for photos. Room cleaning is meticulous and thorough daily; the floors and bathrooms are spotless, and the air conditioning, hot water, and high-speed Wi-Fi are stable all day. The bed is soft, ensuring a great night's sleep. The 24-hour front desk staff are warm and friendly; they proactively offer city maps, patiently explain sightseeing routes, and even provide free luggage storage for large items. Breakfast is an authentic Greek buffet, featuring a wide variety of cheeses, olives, handmade pies, freshly ground coffee, and fresh fruit – enough to fuel a full day of walking tours. The only minor drawback is that the building is older, and the elevator is a bit small, but this in no way detracts from the overall guest experience. Balancing location, service, and views, this hotel offers exceptional value for money in central Athens. I would definitely rebook here on my next trip to Athens, Greece!

The location is unbeatable. I was staying at the InterContinental before this, but didn't want to stay in one hotel for too long, so I switched to this one near Syntagma Square. It's walking distance to shopping, the National Museum, and the Chunxi and Mingyue Lou Chinese restaurants. The breakfast was quite ordinary, but the view was excellent – the picture I took was from the 10th-floor breakfast area. Everything else was fine. We arrived at the hotel around 9 AM and there were already rooms available, which was great.

The hotel's location in the city center, in the old Plaka district, is super convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment. The room size is average, and the decor feels a bit dated. The hairdryer wasn't great; the airflow was too weak. The highlight was definitely breakfast on the rooftop, where you can enjoy a view of Athens in the morning, including a distant view of the Parthenon on the hill, which looked especially sacred in the morning light. The breakfast spread was extensive and the quality was excellent. My favorites were the scrambled eggs, low-fat yogurt, various cheeses, and sourdough bread.
