Runhu Holiday Hotel

This hotel's service is absolutely, incredibly, unbelievably fantastic!!! Due to our schedule, we arrived at the hotel past 1 AM. After checking in, I started feeling unwell (probably from drinking iced milk tea and getting car sick), so we immediately went to the hospital. When we left, a staff member saw us by the elevator and asked what was wrong, which truly made us two girls feel very safe. Then, the next afternoon, when I felt a bit better and went out for a walk, the hotel called me. They thoughtfully asked about my condition and even mentioned they had prepared some plain congee for me to eat when I returned in the evening. This level of thoughtfulness is truly amazing, I have to give them a huge thumbs up!!! The hotel also prepares hot milk and freshly squeezed apple juice in the evening (the apple juice isn't too sweet, both are delicious, highly recommend!!!). And the uncle who drove us to the high-speed train station was also very kind and gentle. When we arrived at the station, he even offered to help us carry our luggage up the stairs. Oh, and one more thing: because we planted trees in Minqin, some of our clothes were quite dirty, so we used the hotel's laundry service. After calling, an auntie came to collect the clothes, carefully separating the light and dark colors, and the washing and drying were very fast! If I ever get the chance to visit Zhangye again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. The service is just too thoughtful and amazing!!! Also, even though we booked a standard room, the room size was surprisingly spacious, which was another unexpected bonus (I forgot to take a panoramic photo when we left).

Don't miss out on this Holiday Inn, it's truly the most hospitable in Zhangye. The service is absolutely fantastic – so warm and considerate. They offer thoughtful touches like complimentary evening milk and juice, and even laundry service. The breakfast selection is also extensive 😊. The 24-hour online customer service is incredibly helpful. The rooms are very spacious, and all the facilities are brand new. I genuinely love this hotel; I'll definitely bring my family here next time for a comfortable stay.

The room was incredibly detailed, and the staff were friendly and always smiling. The restaurant downstairs had great food at a very reasonable price. If you don't want to venture far, eating downstairs is super convenient. The only downside was that the bedside outlet was a bit obstructed, causing some charging issues.

The service was excellent, and all items in the room were thoroughly disinfected, making it very clean and hygienic.

I wanted to book this place when I first arrived, but it was fully booked. Now I finally understand why everyone recommends it! Even though the hotel was built in 2018, the facilities don't feel old at all. The service is truly top-notch, and they even provide foot bath tubs. The complimentary laundry service is a real thoughtful touch – my clothes were washed, dried, and neatly folded before being delivered back to my room in the morning.

The service was excellent. For laundry, you just fill out a form, and they pick it up when they clean the room and return it by the agreed time, which is super convenient. When I was too tired to go out for dinner, I ordered from the hotel restaurant, and the food was surprisingly good – I forgot to take pictures of the stir-fried noodles and grilled fish, but they're definitely recommended. My only minor suggestion for the hotel is regarding the ultrasonic humidifier. It ran out of water, and when a staff member refilled it, they used tap water directly, which isn't ideal. After that, I unplugged it. The calcium and magnesium ions in tap water get atomized into inhalable particles, essentially increasing PM2.5 pollutants in the air, which is bad for your respiratory system. You clearly have reverse osmosis water dispensers in the hallways, so why not use those?

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, so I thought I'd share my review. I had very high expectations before coming, as there were many positive reviews and recommendations online. Perhaps my high expectations led to a big disappointment. First, let me mention the good points: there's a pick-up service, although there was no welcome tea in the car as some mentioned, but that's fine; the room was quite large; there was plenty of water and two drinks in the room; you can order room service without an extra charge; and when I asked about laundry, the staff member said I could do it myself or they could do it for me. They seemed a bit reluctant but did help me in the end, haha. Now for the negatives: first, the room. The first room I was given wasn't warm, noticeably not warm. When I called a staff member, they said it was because I had turned on the air conditioning. I was speechless at that point – I only turned on the A/C because it was cold, and I had it on for less than five minutes. I don't appreciate staff immediately blaming the customer. They then moved me to another room, which was very noisy as it faced the road. Firecrackers were going off from midnight until before 6 AM, which was quite startling. Next, the food. Breakfast can only be described as poor; it barely felt like a buffet, with very few options and not very tasty. If you ordered lunch or dinner, the staff would ignore you if you were alone. I sat there for a long time and had to call a staff member three times before someone finally took my order. The Mala Tang was good, but the hand-grabbed lamb was very *****, and the fried shrimp was sweet, which was a strange combination. Regarding the service: I read online that the service was excellent, but I didn't really experience that. There was a foot bath tub, but the water in the kettle was cold. When I changed rooms, I had to carry my own luggage while the staff member just watched. They mentioned a 'good night milk' service, but I didn't get it on the first night; I had to call for it myself on the second night. When I felt unwell and asked the front desk where a hospital was, feeling very dizzy, the staff member seemed quite indifferent, saying they weren't sure if it was open or not. I didn't experience the warmth and enthusiasm that many reviews mentioned. This hotel was one I had been eyeing for a while. I couldn't book it initially during the Chinese New Year, but then I managed to, which made me quite happy and expectant. Overall, if you treat it like a chain hotel, the service is okay, and they'll wash your clothes. But if you're coming specifically for the service, don't have high expectations – no expectations means less disappointment. The price is still higher than other hotels in Zhangye. Honestly, it's far worse than the one I stayed at in Dunhuang. One more thing I forgot to mention: the toothbrush was terrible, truly terrible, with bristles that poked my mouth.

This was the best hotel on my Northwest trip, definitely worth full marks! For just over 200 yuan, they had staff help with luggage, and the breakfast offered so many choices, including freshly made noodles and wontons, all delicious! The service was superb. Zhangye itself is also great for food 😋, and I'd absolutely visit Zhangye again just for this hotel!

The hotel has a good number of rooms, and they're cleaned promptly. The laundry service is really good too. In the lobby, there's a tea bar with various teas, freshly brewed jujube tea, and freshly ground coffee. The room lighting is ample, and the hygiene is excellent. The heating works perfectly, and you can even send packages from the front desk, which is super convenient. Breakfast was fantastic, very satisfied overall.
