YHA Sydney Central

The location is incredibly convenient, just a three to four-minute walk to the train/subway station, and the light rail stop is right outside – no need to walk more than a minute. Chinatown, QVB, the Opera House, and other attractions are all just one stop away or easily accessible along the line. The front desk staff was quite patient and helpful with directions. The bed was comfortable; I fell asleep instantly, and the soundproofing was decent. However, when staying in a hostel, you do have to put up with issues like roommates having different schedules.

The location is fantastic! The bathroom and toilet are clean. The bunk beds in the room have curtains, providing excellent privacy. The shared kitchen area was also well-maintained. There's a locker room available for luggage storage after check-out for a fee of $12. I could easily hear conversations from the hallway. However, with daily cleaning, I'd say it's a clean place overall.

The room and private bathroom were very clean. The laundry room is locked after 11 PM, so you need to ask the front desk staff for assistance. The day pass after checkout is a great perk, allowing you to relax in the common areas!

* Bedroom - There's a decent level of privacy. - It's clean. - The individual charging facilities are a nice touch. * Bathroom and Showers - There seem to be few, but surprisingly, they aren't crowded. - You can borrow a hairdryer from the reception. - Shower towels are provided as standard (free of charge). - The shower space feels a bit small. * Kitchen and Dining Area - It's very spacious. - The dishes are a bit lacking (there are hardly any large bowls). - Overall, the ventilation isn't bad. - It gets crowded in the evenings due to the high number of users. * Overall Impression - Generally, it's a comfortable stay with no major inconveniences. - The location and price are good.

Really liked this place! The location, room size, and kitchen were all great. If I had to nitpick, the bed has wheels, so if you don't sit on it properly, it'll move around, haha. Next time I'm in Sydney, I'd definitely choose it again.

Excellent location, the hostel is right outside the train station. The room and bathroom were also very clean, and the mattress and quilt in the room were very comfortable. I would consider staying here again next time.

We checked in at 5 PM. We booked a 6-person room, but when we got in, we found two beds hadn't been made. We informed the front desk, and they asked us to wait. After 20 minutes, we thought it should be ready and asked again. They said it should be, but when we went back upstairs, the cleaning staff had only just started, so we had to wait another 20 minutes. The hotel guests were quite varied, but we still really liked the communal bathrooms, kitchen, and dining area. Besides the scratched pots, it was interesting to see people from different countries cooking their favorite ingredients there. The hotel is right next to Central Station, and you can also walk to Chinatown and Darling Harbour.

Whenever I travel to Sydney alone, I always stay here. It's much cleaner and safer compared to other places. The bathrooms are always kept spotless, which is very reassuring. The reception staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful.
