This is my second time visiting Kuanzhai Alley, and my third time in Chengdu. Each visit feels different; the shops in the alley have changed. Although many say it's too commercialized, I personally think it's still worth a visit. It mainly features traditional Sichuan courtyard houses, old-fashioned teahouses, and folk experiences, with well-preserved ancient courtyards. Many shops are uniquely decorated; you can choose any to have tea, watch Sichuan opera face-changing performances, and experience Sichuan culture for an average of ¥18 per person. For those who don't like tea, there are also coffee shops with well-known brands like Starbucks, Peet's Coffee, Arabica, and even Heytea. Overall, I think it's a great place to visit. I recommend visiting in the afternoon, as it's been incredibly hot lately, especially for people from northern China who will be sweating buckets.
