Birla Mandir, Jaipur

Birla Mandir, Jaipur, also known as the Birla Lakshmi Narayan Temple, is a massive, magnificent, and modern marble structure funded by the Indian industrialist Birla. Stained glass windows depict scenes from Hindu scriptures, and the main deity enshrined in the temple is Lord Ganesha, the protector of the home.

The marble is of fine quality. Upon entering the temple and looking back at the entrance, you can see the reflection of Lord Ganesha, carved on the lintel, on the almost transparent marble surface. The interior of the temple depicts many Hindu deities, such as Lakshmi. The exterior walls feature great historical figures and figures from other religions, including Socrates, Christ, Buddha, and Confucius.
