Banyan Tree Hangzhou

I've stayed at Banyan Tree hotels many times, and for this trip to Xixi, I chose them again. I was so happy to get a complimentary upgrade to a large suite. It had two big bathtubs, so my best friend and I each had one – very convenient! What I loved most was the hotel's ambiance. The beauty of Jiangnan, the exquisite design of the Chinese pavilions, and the breakfast was also a highlight for me. They had freshly made mini wontons with tender and delicious filling. The food selection was rich and tasty. What really deserves praise is the service; it was exceptionally good and welcoming. I'll definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

Spending a day at Banyan Tree Hangzhou Xixi felt less like a stay and more like an immersive dream of the Jiangnan water towns. From the moment I stepped in, the city's hustle and bustle faded away, replaced by a tranquil scene of winding waterways and traditional white walls with dark gray roofs. The entire hotel is like a meticulously crafted water garden, with beauty at every turn. The room design perfectly blends Chinese elegance with modern comfort; opening the window revealed lush waterscapes. Lounging on the daybed in the afternoon, listening to the rain and watching the reflections, time itself seemed to slow down. The service was impeccable, with staff who were warm and attentive, yet never intrusive, preserving the peaceful atmosphere. In the evening, enjoying a candlelight dinner on the terrace, watching the lights slowly illuminate and reflect on the water, brought a profound sense of happiness. It's truly a secluded sanctuary where mind and body can completely relax.

They even offer turn-down service in the evenings with a little gift. **Environment:** The environment was comfortable and tidy. **Service:** The service was fantastic! The young lady at the front desk was very considerate and helpful. She assisted with coordinating my check-out and proactively helped us make an adjustment.

Overall, it's a serene and luxurious place, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Some rooms might be near water, so be mindful of mosquitoes; the hotel does provide repellent. The rooms are well-maintained with no hidden spots for dirt, and the bedding and towels are clean and soft. The bathrooms have a dry/wet separation and are thoroughly sanitized. The service is superb, especially the front desk staff who are very welcoming.

Banyan Tree Hangzhou Xixi, nestled within the Xixi Wetland, features private Jiangnan-style courtyards, offering a tranquil and secluded environment. The service is attentive, with unique experiences like afternoon tea on a boat. However, some facilities show a bit of age, and the price is on the higher side. Mosquitoes can also be an issue. It's ideal for couples or families seeking a romantic escape and immersive nature experience, provided they have a generous budget and are prepared to weigh the value for money.
