We had a lovely stay in this spa hotel for three days at the end of July. The hotel is large, two hotels joined together and you can use facilities of both. We choose the older traditional 5 star Gran hotel, the other 4 star is more modern and closer to access the outdoor pool. Our room was large with a seating area, great shower, molton brown toiletries and a comfy bed, tv had Netflix, water replenished daily. We visited both spas and they were lovely, really relaxing and well looked after. The outdoor pool was the real treat especially in the July heat, with plenty of beds and umbrellas. You do have to wear a swim cap in all the pools, you can buy one at the hotel. Make sure to walk in the gardens behind the hotel, beautiful views of the mountains. The hotel is within a small village with a couple of bar/restaurants just over the road which was really handy. We preferred this to the hotel restaurant which was a bit quiet and fancy for us. We ate in the lounge bar, food there was good. You can walk out of the hotel out down to the river. It’s only 15 mins drive from Oviedo which is a lovely city to visit.
