Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta

Woke up this morning and was lucky enough to see the volcano in the distance from the observation deck – the view was absolutely stunning. The swimming pool has a lovely Thai-style design that blends with nature, and there are even fish in the ornamental pond next to it that you can feed, which kids would absolutely love.

My stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was clean and dry, with excellent housekeeping, making it a very pleasant place to stay. The hotel's location is fantastic, with convenient transportation options nearby; it was easy to get a taxi and reach all the major attractions. The staff were warm, attentive, and very friendly. The hotel environment is quiet and elegant, and the breakfast offered a rich variety of delicious options. Overall, the value for money was outstanding. Considering the complete experience, this hotel is highly recommended for any trip or vacation.

The moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the hotel staff's warmth and hospitality; the service was impeccable and excellent. Check-in was fast and efficient, and the room had a great view. The resort offers a wide range of activities, including swimming, a gym, cycling, and a spa, all within a beautiful, lush green environment that made my stay incredibly pleasant. The restaurant food was good, and while the breakfast selection wasn't huge, I really enjoyed the fruit. I especially loved the hotel bar – the drinks were great, and the service was warm and attentive. I was lucky enough to catch a live band on Friday, which was fantastic. Drinking and chatting with music in the background was so relaxing!

The room's architectural style is a bit traditional, but the bedding is excellent! I had a great night's sleep. Plus, the hotel offers a complimentary photo shoot in traditional attire with a frame upon check-in, which really enhanced the whole experience.

The environment is great, and there's a pretty good restaurant called Sasanti right next door. The breakfast selection is also excellent, featuring many local specialties, and the decor is very unique.

This is one of the best hotels in Yogyakarta. It's surrounded by a large golf course and features a huge swimming pool with slides and a waterfall. The hotel offers stunning views of a grand Indonesian-style garden. As a complimentary service, they provide a free photoshoot wearing traditional Indonesian attire and even give you a framed photo! The food and service are excellent. The hotel also organizes a variety of activities like evening golf practice, tennis, badminton, and traditional archery, so you could easily spend a couple of days here without leaving the premises.

It was a shame the water slide was undergoing long-term maintenance, but other than that, I have no complaints. The sunset view from the 8th-floor terrace is magnificent. The bread from the hotel's bakery is also delicious. I think this is now my preferred hotel in Yogyakarta. As for the location, while it's far from the city center, it's close to Borobudur and Jomblang Cave, and you avoid traffic jams, which turned out to be a good thing. Yogyakarta isn't a very big city, so there's not much benefit to staying in the center just to walk around. However, even though you can easily catch a Grab from the hotel to the city, it takes about 30 minutes one way, making it difficult to return to the hotel for a quick break. Despite this, the facilities and hospitality more than make up for it.
