We stayed in the Turmsuite, mostly to see the castles and surrounding countryside. The suite was spacious and new, with a large seating area. The bathroom had a toilet in one room, and a very nice glass shower and sink in another room, separated from the bed by a kind of peek-a-boo glass partition. My favorite feature of the room was the small patio next to the sitting area. It overlooked a large meadow, with the mountains beyond it, and a lovely view of both Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. You can even see Tegelbergbahn on a clear day. We really enjoyed just sitting out on the patio at night, enjoying our beer and wine. One thing I should mention is that there is no individual room temperature control in this room, and it felt a little warm to us. But we could get a nice breeze in the room by keeping the patio door open, and a screen door kept out any flying visitors. The hotel itself is immaculate, with beautiful grounds and a large parking lot, in a quiet area. The country road behind the hotel is popular with bikers and hikers; we walked to Lake Forggensee from the hotel in about 15 minutes. We didn’t use the wellness area, but I did peek through it, and it was just as clean and well-kept as the rest of the hotel. It featured a large sauna, a small pool, and a pretty little pond. The glass-enclosed restaurant where we ate breakfast even had castle views. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a quiet and beautiful place to stay out in the countryside, away from the bustle of Füssen and the castle area.
