Luya Waterfall

Luya Waterfall Scenic Spot is located under the suspension peak of Mount Lushan Mountain in the northeast of Dengfeng City. There is a tall stone cliff. According to legend, during the period of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Lu Hongyi was named as a doctor, but he did not intend to be an official, so he came to Lushan. In seclusion, under the Taishan Mountain, he recruited talented people from the world and set up an altar to teach. Later generations called this cliff "Luya", and the place where Lu Hongyi retired was "caotang". After his death, Xuanzong changed the "caotang" to "Luya Temple". Between the suspense peak and the Jiming Peak behind the temple, there is a spring flowing through it. Every year, the water rushes from the bottom of the cliff. It is like a cloud, very spectacular.
