Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel

My recent stay at Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel was extremely disappointing and fell far below the standards expected from an international hotel brand. We arrived at approximately 4:30 PM after a long international flight and were assigned a room on the 31st floor. However, we soon discovered that the elevator did not provide access to that floor. When we returned to the front desk for assistance, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked, that this was the last available room in our reserved category, and that we could try again the next day before noon without any guarantee. Surprisingly, after we requested further clarification, another room suddenly became available because housekeeping had “just finished cleaning it.” This directly contradicted the explanation given to us minutes earlier and raised concerns about transparency. The handling of the situation felt dismissive rather than genuinely solution‑oriented. We later communicated by email with the Front Office Manager, Marie MALET SALA. Unfortunately, the issue appeared to be misunderstood and inaccurately addressed instead of being properly acknowledged. The response lacked empathy and professionalism, which further added to our dissatisfaction. The service shortcomings continued during our stay. The hair dryer in the room was extremely weak and barely functional. No shampoo was provided. When we called the front desk to request basic amenities, we were told housekeeping was off duty and that we should call again at 7:30 AM the following morning. Being asked to wait until the next day for essential toiletries is unacceptable for a hotel of this size and brand reputation. Communication was also challenging, as several guest service staff members struggled to communicate effectively in English, making simple requests unnecessarily difficult. Overall, the service standards fell significantly below expectations. Due to the inconsistent information, lack of accountability, and unprofessional handling of concerns, I would not return and cannot recommend this property.

It was indeed an excellent location with very convenient to major sightseeing venues. The best part was very good breakfast and the host were really very nice.
