Wawu Mountain, in southwestern Hongya County, is the birthplace of Taoism. Wawu Mountain has many plants and animals, including many kinds of national Grade I-protected flora and fauna. This is a great destination for mountain adventures and leisurely sightseeing. Wawu Mountain has retained its rudimentary ecology, and thus has a low degree of commercialism. Visitors here can enjoy a variety of outdoor sports. When taking a leisurely walk along the trails, visitors may come across various protected animals such as antelopes, black pheasants and Chinese monals. This place is full of many wonderful natural surprizes.

Show More ReviewsThis cable car is very convenient and easy. If you're traveling with elderly people, you should definitely take it. My parents and I rode it to the top of the mountain, then walked from the Lanxi cliff to the middle of the Ancient Buddha cable car station, and then sat down again. The timing was perfect, not too tiring, and we got to see beautiful views of the whole city. Highly recommended!
