Hotel Holiday

The reception staff were friendly on the day of arrival, as was the room cleaning service, although some of them entered without knocking. However, something very strange happened to me on the last day: I made sure to let them check the mini bar because I used it, and it’s not cheap. Despite the amount being significant due to my usage of several items, the staff member (lady ) added an extra charge and created an incorrect invoice. When I reviewed it by chance, I discovered the mistake. Her colleague (gentleman ) apologized and refunded the incorrect amount, but she seemed unfazed, laughing and never apologizing at all, as if she was used to deceiving customers.

I’ll start by saying that the hotel has a great location, giving you easy access to all the important and relevant places while travelling in Sarajevo. Unfortunately, that is about where the positives end for me. The check-in process was okay, although unfortunately, there was no one available who spoke the local language fluently. After that, several issues followed with the key cards, which repeatedly had to be reprogrammed in order to access the room. The hotel could also be cleaner and better maintained. The food was okay, but nothing particularly impressive. Unfortunately, even the cutlery was not always clean and had visible stains. Overall, this was not the most pleasant or enjoyable stay. In an emergency, I would consider staying here, but I would not choose this hotel again, especially for a longer stay.

This hotel has a lot of history and fantastic potential, but the way it is managed right now is straight up terrible. There are so many flaws that it makes a stay here pretty miserable. It might be okay for 1 night if you have an early morning bus ride, but even in this case your stay will not be enjoyable. Small details like a spitting faucet, lack of shelf in the shower to put your toiletries, dirty table cloths and chipped dishes in the restaurant, no light in the lobby, broken light switches in the room, broken things fixed with duct tape, no shampoo etc - numerous details just make you sad.

I had a very pleasant stay at Holiday Hotel Sarajevo. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is excellent, just next to the National Museum and within easy reach of the city center. The hotel has a unique historical atmosphere, making the stay even more memorable. Breakfast offered a good variety, and overall everything went smoothly. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Sarajevo in the future.

The location of the hotel was excellent and very convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant. However, the breakfast was quite limited and lacked variety. It was almost the same every day and may not suit everyone. Most of the options were eggs, one or two types of cold cuts, and very basic vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers, with no real selection. Regarding cleanliness, it was average. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom was not up to standard—we found hair in the bathtub from previous guests. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes provided, and the hairdryer was very old and not in good condition.

The hotel is renowned for its history but is terribly dirty, with dust everywhere in the room and the door lock is not functioning. Staff are nice in general but they are unable to offer any help

It’s obviously tooooooooo old and need upgrading. And the services need also significant improvement! Not recommended! Won’t be staying here again.
