Hotel Indigo KRAKOW - OLD TOWN by IHG

We had difficulty in getting hot water from the tap at the sink. Although we put the “no disturb” sign outside the room, they still came into the room to service. Staff (Max) at reception was not helpful during checkout. There were no other guests but we were asked to wait (he just said “wait”, not even “please wait”). After a few minutes we told him we had a train to catch and he still said “wait” while he was not doing anything.

An hotel full of contrasts. +: good geographic situation both close to old Town and the train station, nice breakfast with a nice staff at the restaurant. -: we were unfortunate to be welcomed in our room by toilets not flushed and with stains… I tried to clean and since it was not enough, I asked the reception to clean it… it was only well done the day after, due to an additional request. Besides, we did not have hot water for more than 5 minutes… After complaints the manager finally stepped in (5th day out of the 6 days-stay), the problem was fixed and we were granted a voucher for the bistro. Out of my stays in 19 hotels in 2025, it was certainly the one that left me the more bitter-sweet feelings and I regret that the staff was not very proactive and did not perform double/checks or provided follow ups of our requests.

Great stay here for the days over Christmas. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Had the set Christmas Dinner booked at the restaurant and it was exceptional. The rooms were extremely comfortable, spacious and clean. The location was close to the Barbican, extremely well positioned for the train station and easy walk to other areas of Kraków. Would highly recommend this hotel.
