Located in Huidong County, Guangdong Province, the Turtle Bay Nature Reserve covers an area of 1,400 hectares and is the only sea turtle nature reserve in the Asian continent. It is a traditional nesting ground for sea turtles and the only nesting ground along the northern mainland coast of the South China Sea.Turtle Bay is a national-level sea turtle nature reserve along China's 18,000-kilometer coastline and is also one of the world's most important wetlands. The reserve primarily protects five endangered species: green sea turtles, loggerhead sea turtles, littoral sea turtles, hawksbill sea turtles, and leatherback sea turtles. The green sea turtles migrate to lay their eggs from June to October each year. The beach has a gentle slope and fine sand, making it ideal for sea turtle breeding.

Show More ReviewsIt was good time to visit on evening. But I had just 1.5 hours to visit whole place, I think if you take 2-3 hours, it’s better. Ticket price was 24 Rmb for each person. Better to bring your kids here as well.
