Shila Athens

Stunning boutique hotel with so much soul and style! Our suite was huge, spotless, and beautifully designed. Love the wine selection, the top-notch service, and the trendy location. Can’t wait to return!

If you love prime locations and historic character, Shila has both in spades. Unfortunately, when they committed to the "old-world" theme, they took it a bit too literally with the room functionality and AC. It was 95 degrees outside and a sweltering 85 inside our room. Sleeping was near impossible unless you enjoy marinating in your own sweat. To their credit, the staff tried to soften the blow by providing a desk fan and a 25% discount voucher for our next booking—a bold marketing strategy for guests who are actively melting. We loved our time exploring Athens, but our stay here left us thoroughly overheated and under-rested. Definitely cannot recommend.

I arrived in Athens after a very busy few weeks of travel for work. I found the boutique property so peaceful and restorative that I barely wanted to leave. I appreciate their commitment to peacefulness and 'silence' which is very hard to find in a loud and crowded world. The bedding is divine, the beds are extremely comfortable. I recommend one of the suites on the higher floors. Breakfast on the roof is unique and lovely. The staff are all welcoming, gracious, and peaceful individuals. The design details are memorable-- I would travel back to Athens just to stay at Shila again. I have had the great fortune of staying at many beautiful hotels in Europe; Shila left a mark on me and I shall return.

An authentically posh and tasteful small hotel in a very chic area of Athens. We wish we could have stayed longer. The staff is warm and wonderful. The little details make it unique and cozy. Shila was a great stay our last evening in Athens.

I could not recommend this thoughtful sanctuary of a stay more. The staff, the attention to detail, the roof top terrace, the design, bedding, breakfast, curated room, down to its smell and even its toilet chain. This place was created with the purest intent and you feel it in every detail. Our most treasured travel stay to date. On a very quiet street meaning a silent sleep and a quick 20–30 minute walk from all good things.

Lovely place and staff very helpful and friendly. Would have liked an overhead shower (vs handheld) and easier access to plugs for charging ( so much needs charging!) but smashing place and clever ly designed interiors. Breakfast good. Location good. Super stay.

Absolutely beautiful property, very quiet neighbourhood but very close to all of the best shopping and restaurants by walk. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be in a great area but also wanting peace and tranquility of a small boutique space. Also so beautifully designed, the entire property is gorgeous, thank you for having us!
