Reid's Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Madeira

If you come to Madeira and don't stay at this hotel, it's like you haven't truly experienced the island. This place is essentially an amazing alternative to those high-end Italian hotels that charge 20,000+ per night. It was even one of Churchill's favorites! We were lucky enough to stumble upon the hotel's Michelin Food Festival, where they invited Michelin-starred chefs from all over Europe to showcase their culinary skills. And the fireworks at night? Absolutely unforgettable. This trip was truly memorable.

It's a beautiful hotel with a bit of an old-money vibe. The afternoon tea was quite good; it was my first time having afternoon tea while staying at the hotel and being able to sample so many different kinds of tea. The pastries were alright, and the breakfast was also plentiful.

Stayed for three days during the May Day holiday. This well-known old hotel has excellent service, first-class location and beautiful scenery. The only drawback is that the facilities are a bit old and the double bed is put together and can be easily separated.

It's so beautiful. I like it very much. It's so comfortable.
