M's Hotel Nijojo Oike

A cosy hotel not too far off the train station. The room was nice and beds were comfortable. There is a microwave in the lobby which came in handy when we bought food from the convenience store. They also have a coin operated laundry room but we could not use it because other guests washed and left their clothes in the machine for a long time.

We spent only one night here as at the other M's Hotel on the same street didn’t have any space on our last night in Kyoto. As per the other hotel we really had a good experience. The hotel is located in a nice and quiet area of Kyoto, right next to Sanjo shopping street that has many convenience stores and dining options. Bus stops are just 5 minutes away. The kind staff was there when we arrived, we could leave our bags at the reception when we arrived early and when the checked out. Our room was spotless and neat, non smoking, had heating, hot water, fridge and kettle, towels and toiletries. We could sleep really well as mattresses and pillows were comfy and thankfully there was no noise during the night. We would stay here again in future without any doubt.

The hotel is conveniently located near Nijo Castle and the station, which made getting around easy. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was, more than enough for 2 adults and 1 toddler. My husband actually really liked it!
