I bought a 500MB per day plan for walking around town in Thailand. Thailand has plenty of places with Wi-Fi, like shopping centers and cafes, so I hardly used it, but it was quite cheap, so I thought it would be reassuring to have it downloaded just in case. Incidentally, I had a true Wi-Fi connection in Udon Thani.
