For a trip to Hokuriku, this ticket price is well worth it. I only used it for 2.5 days and it was worth the price. The only problem is that going to Takaoka is frustrating. You have to go back to Shin-Takaoka Station and transfer to another train to use it. Also, you can't use the local trains. But it's very convenient for the Shinkansen between cities.★

Don't stay in Shirakawa-go for too long; 3 hours is enough. The scenery is beautiful. Also, Wednesdays and Thursdays are their holidays, and the temples there are basically closed. I don't know if the shop owners know this, but they could remind you. Don't eat the takoyaki in the picture; it's terrible, very soft and mushy, and the service is bad too.Trip.com picks
