I was looking into eSIM plans from various companies for a short-to-medium-term trip to Thailand—14 days in Chiang Mai and 5 days in Bangkok—and I unexpectedly found the best value product on Trip.com. In particular, the plan I used was incredibly efficient because it included unlimited calls. Given that Wi-Fi in accommodations in Southeast Asia is often poor, purchasing unlimited data was a huge help to me. Also, after purchasing and activating the plan, an app called "esim" is automatically installed until the service expires, allowing you to easily check your status there (I noticed there was no explanation about this part).★
