Nice Views from the Pier
Cameron Parish Jetty Pier is located in the heart of the Parish along the Gulf of Mexico. Great views of the Gulf and Shoreline of Cameron. Most people in Cameron are residents.
After we paid $40 to get in then they said it was closed. They sold the property
They charged us $40 to get in then they said they sold the property and everything is closed. We could not fish or crab. The restrooms were nasty and the place has not been kept up.
The campground adjacent to the jetty is essentially a parking lot with plug ins. Staff were helpful and the site was secured at night. The bathrooms contained rather chilly stainless steel fixtures an...
At $5/person, this spot is really no longer worth a visit, particularly because the beach has filled in so much that there are not nearly as many birds as there were a decade ago

They are closing the road to the jetty.
An interesting place to see the birds of the Gulf of Mexico and watch big ships come and go. Call before you go - the roads may be closed.
