It will take you about 50mins to drive the 74km from Carnarvon to the blowholes - it is all bitumen sealed roads to the blowholes and then a 1 km two-wheel drive accessible track south to the sheltere...
We went with our dog so couldn't explore as much as I would have wanted because of the terrain. I think it would be a good spot for a sunset but we didn't stay that long. Worth a visit for sure.
Great to see blowholes but campground not very nice.
Visited blowholes which were great. Went & had lunch on boat launch beach & come across a baby disposable nappy buried in sand so that put us off big time. All the shacks there look very shabby & make...

Surprise cafe find
What a great place. Big shoots of water and a wonderful cafe van for excellent fish, Chios, donuts and coffee. Second time here and still great

It's worth seeing if you are in Carnarvon
