    Great viewing point

    Great view if you don't mind a very short 5 minute steep climb up the hill, you can drive up most of the way. The Sherkin island lighthouse is visible across from the beacon.

    The Beacon is well worth a visit. You can drive to within a few 100mts of it or stroll up from the town. There are a number of little paths up the steep grassy bank and you do need to be careful. Not...
