Is it the best time to see it in the first half of May? I think it's absolutely wonderful.

I went after visiting Nawa Shrine. It's just in the neighborhood. Visit date May 15th. I thought it was a good timing because wisteria was famous, but it seemed that it was late, and there were only a few pale purple flowers hanging from the Fuji shelf. It was a little beautiful, though. There is a free parking lot and the precincts are nearby. The famous "Fuji Matsuri" is also held there, which seems to be the best time to see the Golden Week in May. Full-bloom wisteria flower light ...
The wisteria trellis at Sumiunji Temple were in very good condition. The quality is very good at the admission fee. Fuji Festival is also held, and local specialties are sold. There is also a famous bakery nearby, so it is perfect for a little outing.
I visited one day before the Golden Week Wisteria Festival began, so I was able to appreciate it carefully without stress in both parking and crowds. The wisteria shelves full of precincts are now in full bloom. It's not 180 cm, but the short swaying appearance is also beautiful. The parking lot is the entrance to the temple. The collaboration with azaleas was also beautiful.
It's in the mountains and it's safe to go by car. It has a large parking lot. If it is national highway 9, turn at the "Tominaga" intersection toward National Park / Oyama for about 10 minutes. It is a temple of the Soto sect, and it is known that Fuji flowers bloom vividly about half a century ago, and it became crowded with many cherry blossom viewing visitors during the large consecutive holidays when it was in full bloom. Fuji was originally donated by the Dan family, and it was called "Rokushaku Fuji" because the flowers hang for a long time. At first it was only one, but gradually divided into stocks ...
It is a temple with a wisteria trellis in Sanin, which is now in season. Soto sect. The grave is adjacent. Spending early summer with the deceased fosters a heart that values ancestors. On a sunny day, the wisteria has an indescribable brilliance. Occasionally, bees come, but they are not very aggressive and are safe first. A space with nature is GW. Also, during this period, there are events and it is lively. I go every year. Fujiji Temple = Sumiunji Temple, which I remember in early summer.
