Jizo Do hall in Nakanogo district
Original Text
It is a Jizo-do in the Nakanogo district. Inside the hall, there are granite Jizo statues, a copper straw made in 1307, and a bell loaded on the Western-style sailing ship Victoria at the end of the Edo period. I couldn't visit the hall, but there was a stone monument on the premises that prayed for the souls of the starving dead in the Meiwa era, and I was able to feel the history of Hachijojima.
