The best experience here was seeing the cranes with a young chick. We also saw one in the wild on a farm not far from the centre.

An Amazing Comeback

Our guide here told us that in the early 1900's there were only around a dozen of the giant birds that were still living. Now, after conservation tactics, the number of cranes has climbed to over 1400...

A small museum and gift shop with a large outside exhibit of cranes in breeding enclosures. Walk along the walkway and look for portals in fence for unobstructed pictures.

Not much better than a small private zoo.

This place was a HUGE disappointment. We were part of a tour group and when we arrived we were all excited to see where cranes live and/or flock to and we were hoping to be lucky and see a wild crane...
