This 16th century temple - I couldn't find out if the temple is still in original state - in the construction style of the Kamakura time. Quadratical base crack, exceptional roof ...

This temple is a temple where Yorishige Suwa and Yoshinobu Takeda, the legitimate son of Shingen Takeda, committed seppuku. It's an interesting temple for history fans, but it was actually an ordinary temple. The building is new, and it seems that no building where Yorishige and Yoshinobu committed seppuku remains. Their tombs were also buried in other people's tombs in the graveyard, and they were inconspicuous tombs, and I couldn't feel the stage of history at all.

It is said that it is one of the temples that Shingen Takeda protected the prestigious temple as Kofu Gozan in the venerable Rinzai sect temples. The mountain gate is hung with a tag of "Ikeizumi appreciation garden", and the beautiful garden in the precincts is a highlight. The pond garden is charged (300 yen). There is also a beautiful dry landscape in the free area. In the back of the precincts, there is a graveyard of Yoshinobu Takeda, the legitimate son of Shingen Takeda. There was also a graveyard of Yorishige Suwa, the grandfather of Katsuyori Takeda (Suwa).

The Buddhist temple was built in the late Muromachi period, so it can be said to be a national treasure class. It has a uniform shape with a single cypress bark. I think the warp of the roof is beautiful. In addition, in order to call the garden a dry landscape, it is necessary to put a question mark on whether the existence of a pond with water is obediently its form. It seems that you should not overlook the planting of Hishi Takeda in the small courtyard.

It's a little difficult to find, but it's a temple with a large precinct in the back of a residential area. If you go around the cypress-roofed Buddhist temple and enter the back of the warehouse, you can see the Japanese garden in the backyard. In the well-maintained garden, there are several wells and large ponds, making it a place to calm your mind. In the courtyard, there are azaleas cut in the shape of Takeda rhizome and stone garden arrangement, so it is a place to relax and enjoy.
