The collection of calligraphy and painting is wonderful.

I felt a very long history in the collection until the Showa era. And I was surprised that it was an individual collection. The building next door, the former Date County Office, is also wonderful.
The real thing of Tanyu Kano and Okyo Maruyama can be seen in 200 yen.

It is a small museum on the premises of the former Date County Office, and it takes about 30 minutes to visit. The admission fee is only 200 yen. It holds 400 pieces such as folding screens and calligraphy, mainly Japanese paintings from the Muromachi period to the Showa period, and is exhibited every month 3. This spring, Edo paintings by the Kano school and Maruyama Shijo school were exhibited. There is no other chance to see the works of Tanyu Kano and Okyo Maruyama, who often names the appraisal team.
There are interesting paintings for local researchers.

It is interesting because the picture of Fumihiko Tani represents the scenery of Handa Ginzan in the Edo period. Must see video screenings. I would like to request it because I can't see the video unless I'm in charge.
