Li Guangtian responded to the call of the country, left his hometown south, came to Kunming, Yunnan, served as president of Yunnan University, invested in the construction of the school, participated in the creation of the Ashima script, and shaped the unforgettable image of Yunnan. Later, he was wrongly classified as a rightist, deprived of the headmaster's office, tortured and abused. Mr. Li Guangtian was very desperate for that era. He came to the sand pond on the shore of the lotus pond. He threw himself into the river and fought for death. After the old house, it was regrettable. Later, he was rehabilitated. The ashes were buried in Babao Mountain and a monument was erected in the lotus pond park.
