Unique views of the beaches facing the Sea of Japan
Along the beaches of the region of Tango-cho are some quite unique views of the Sea of Japan. If you are driving Highway 178, enjoying Tango-hanto Peninsula in northern Kyoto, you will love the beach...
A scenic spot on Tanbao Island. If you drive from Cape Kyoga toward Tateiwa, you will see Tango Matsushima and Folding Screen Rock. The masterpiece is Tateiwa. Worth a look.
I stopped by while driving in Tango. It is a large rock with columnar joints in Gogahama, Majin, famous for its brand crab. When I visited, there were a lot of clouds 々, but I think it would be a lot more beautiful at sunset. You can drive to the immediate vicinity.
The sand around here is close to the color of Tottori dune!
Original Text
From the national highway running in front of the roadside station Tenki Tenki Tango, the road became a dead end when I headed for the coast on a narrow road. On the coast there was a large standing rock like Ayers Rock. Is the coast around here called Tangocho Coast? This coast, where the presence of Tateiwa is outstanding, was a sandy beach. It's a pale ocher-colored sand, and I thought it was similar to the color of the sand in the Tottori dune I went to the next day.
After going around the coastline of Tangoha Island from Amanohashidate through Ine and Cape Keiga, I came to this Tangocho coast where Tateiwa is located. Of course, the tachiiwa is large and stands out, but the coast around here has sandy beaches (the sand on the sandy beach was similar to the Tottori Sand Dunes), and the rocks are dotted, making it a beautiful and varied coastline.
