🌳 Mae Ngad Dam or the full name is Mae Ngad Somboon Chon Dam 🌳 located in Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province In Si Lanna National Park, it is a dam built according to the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Located on the Mae Ngad River, Ping River Branch, Cho Lae Subdistrict, Amphoe Ha Mueang, Chiang Mai Province And also located in Sri Lanna National Park For the entrance to the dam is about the 41th kilometer on National Highway 107 (Chiang Mai-Fang Line), turn right for about 11 kilometers. It is far from Mueang Chiang Mai District about 50 kilometers. It takes time to travel. About 1 hour 30 minutes. The significance of Mae Ngad Dam is the function of sending water to nurture farming areas in the hillside plains on both sides of the Mae Ngad River. It also helps to alleviate floods in the Ping River. especially to relieve the floods of water to flood the city of Chiang Mai as well as also a source of cultivation aquatic animals and beautiful views surrounded by mountains Mae Ngad Dam has become a popular recreational tourist destination for Chiang Mai people as well.
