A surprise!
We went to this area which is around the City Hall building. There is a large open space which on the day we visited was used for an open air music event. Next to the City Hall and behind the building...
The lion and the bull are the symbols of the city. The characteristic sculptures of these animals on the stairs can be seen at the city mayor's building. Maybe the designs are portable (mobile).

Stacked animals
These are several statues of metal animals that are lifted up, it is at least something curiosous to see.
Marseille symbols

Marseille Armories , Le Lion and the Taureau but not " Les Lions " , Errare Humanum Est-Perseverare Diabolicum !!
The sculptures that you see behind the Mayor of Marseille are , in my view , except for blind or ignorant , a Taureau and a Lion on a shoe .
Fun sculptures
A taur and a lion climbed on a shot, surprisingly, but these animals are symbols of the city of Marseille.
