Essentially a badly neglected fenced in marshy area overgrown with bulrush. No viewing platform, no marked parking area, and surrounded by private property. Visitors' amenities completely non-exist...

We headed out in our 4 wheel drive jeep at about 9:30am and took our time, stopped many times along the way for pictures. What a beautiful, other side of Hawaii. The forests and vistas are breath-taki...

Rent a four wheel drive jeep and drive up into the mountains and on top there is a lookout and bathroom facilities.
Unique place
Stopped by the office to get info about rare wild flowers up in the bog. It was pouring so they said it would be really muddy and to bring a winch on the jeep!
