I always go back from Kobe to Tokushima to Yagi no Weeping Ume, but this time I went to Miyakobijin Sake Brewery. It is said that it is the oldest wooden Yakushi Nyorai on Awaji Island, but I felt the history of the building, and it was a "astringent" temple among many temples on Awaji Island.
When I participated in the bus tour, the meeting place was in front of Seisoji Temple, so I had time to worship. It was a quiet temple near Yagi's weeping plum.
It is said that Seishoji Temple here was built by Mitsuhiro Shonin of Mt. Koya, who had been washed away by Awaji Island, imitated Mt. Koya. Yakushi Nyorai, the principal image, is an important cultural property in the early Heian period and is the oldest Buddha statue on Awaji Island. In addition, there is a "Ibuki" tree in the precincts, which is said to have been hand-planted by Mitsuhiro Shonin and is designated as a natural monument in Minamiawaji City. This is a temple with the legend of "Ryujo" in "Snake Maiwa".
