It was big.

I visited from Kinugawa Onsen. The dam was big. The management office and museum are on the opposite bank of the dam and can be walked (the dam is a roadway, you can move by car, and there is also a parking lot). I've seen it because there's a day of water discharge.
It was on the way from Yunishigawa Onsen to Okukinu. You will be fascinated by the beautiful dam lake. It's a bigger dam than I had imagined. You can get a dam card at the office near the dam.
Beautiful arch concrete dam. The scale is also big! !!

The dam I visited right next to the Isari Dam. It was only about 2 km away, but the Isari Dam is a dam on the Oga River and the Kawaji Dam is a dam on the Kinu River. I was surprised at the size of the Isari Dam, but Kawaji Dam also had a height of 140 m and a height of the top of the levee (length of the upper part of the levee) 320.0m going further up. It is a beautiful dam with a splendid levee body like a castle wall, and unlike the Isari Damm, the levee body draws a curve, and the type is called arch concrete Damm ...
There are many hot spring areas in the back of the Kinugawa River, but it is good for driving such as Lake Kawaji. Lake Kawaji Dam is actually upstream of the Kinugawa River. There was a spot where you could see the powerful arched dam and I stopped by. There is a tour of the dam catwalk, but it's scary and impossible.
The scale of the Kurobe Dam is a little smaller, but the scale is amazing. If you apply for a duck tour at the roadside station near Yunishikawa Onsen Station, you can visit the inside of this dam. After walking through the passage on the sunoko above the ground height of 60m and walking to the central part of the dam, an amphibious car that can enter the lake Kawaji by bus is close to 3000 yen, but it is a very valuable experience.
