    Good Photo Op

    One of my first recollections of Sumy some 7 years ago at this place. Except then I thought it was just a kind of wishing well. I know better now and like it!

    Symbol for Sumy

    It is a symbol for Sumy. Some locals found 3 bags of gold som 450 y/o, that made them able to build the first parts of Sumy.

    The word "Sumy" means bags in Ukrainian. The legend is that a Cossack found three bags of gold along with bank of the Psil River (which runs through the city) and decided to build a fort on that spot...
