“Hidden” NASCAR History

Unique site with some interesting NASCAR history; the interpretive signage was very much appreciated. Well used trail.

History

Neat place to visit and walk the old track. Encountered several walkers getting their exercise in. Fun to see the old cars and flag stand and think about how racing may have been back in the day.

Fun area to explore

This was a great place to explore. You can imagine what the activity was like when it was an active Speedway. The paths are easy to walk and the grandstands, ticket booth and old relics are amazing.

Despite its name, this now is a lovely shaded wooded track for walkers

Great place to walk

Dirt stock car NASCAR track not used for that purpose since 1969 except for old car shows. Flat walk on oval track with river views. On Mountains to the Sea Trail.
