Just a stone monument
Saito Mokichi, a famous Tanka poet, stated in Furuyu Onsen. And this Tanka inscription is the memory of his stay. Now people come to hot spring for fun, but once hot spring was mainly for convalescent...
I went to see a handwritten map called "Burari Koyu Mappu" that I got at the Fuji Town Tourist Information Center. There are two monuments. The old one is said to walk on the bank on Kajika Street from the mountains and waters. The new one is near the eastern house near the bridge. I think it's a place to go for a walk. The new one can go by car, but the old one can only walk.
You can find it when taking a walk along the riverside with a drink after slowly taking a hot spring. We recommend taking a walk around Furuyu Onsen as a whole, not just for this purpose!
Actually, there are two ... it's reasonable to say that you go to Furuyu Onsen and take a walk ...

◇ Background Combined Original Interview Drive ◇ Location Both face the "Kegawa" that flows through Furuyu Onsen. One is the back side of the river-top inn group ... Enter from the "Kajika Bridge" in the feeling of turning the back side in the high place without going down the alley along the river. 2 Arrived in about a minute (with information board) The other is at the foot of the Furuyu Onsen side of "Miyabuchibashi". The former is a little confusing, so it's good to get a "Burari Furuyu Onsen Map" at the inn and teach me. ...
I stopped by using a day trip hot spring instead of staying. The hot spring town of Furuyu itself is small, but I couldn't find this monument and finally found it by asking the locals. I was interested in that because of that, I went to see it with my father, a writer called Dokutoru Mambo. Because it was after the rain, the monument was wet and there was an atmosphere with the city.
