Fairy tale’s personality
I knew the story of Sannen Netaro, but I didn’t know that it is a story of this town. Shinkansen stops at Asa, but there is nothing else to see around JR station.
When I left Atsusa Station, a large statue stood beside the parking lot. It was installed on a high pedestal and had an atmosphere that looked down when I approached it. When I turned to the back, it was written that the Netaro Gongen Hozenkai was built in 1972, half a century ago.
Nubo ~ It is a statue of Netaro who has a swollen feeling, but at this time I was wearing a mask, so I felt an unexpected impact. I feel that it is unusual that the main character of folktales, not real people, has such a standing statue.
Although there is a version of "three years sleeping taro", there is basically a version of "sleeping lazy" → "I'm fooled by neighbors" → "Sudden action" → "Good things (success)" It is a development that said. It seems that there is a statue in this area because there was actually a case of becoming a model, and it is said that Kiyotsune Hiraga, a vassal of the Ouchi family, a daimyo (Japanese feudal lord) in this area, is a model. Kiyotsune Hiraga is not actually lazy, but he has been thinking about farmers suffering from water shortages, and he has a large amount of sandals on the ship ...
It is a bronze statue right after leaving Atsusasa Station. It was written below the statue of Netaro and there was a commentary. There is no sightseeing spot nearby, so I don't think you will stop by without a business at the station ○

It's right in front of the station.
