The Hokkaido Literature Museum was established in 1995. It is the first comprehensive literature museum in Hokkaido. The museum collects and exhibits about 260,000 pieces of writers and related works related to Hokkaido, such as Ishikawa Takiki, Arishima Takero, and Kobayashi Takiji.
