Nicer playground for the kids that's about it. This is really not a beach at all. It's just sand on the Taunton river which is not something you'd want to swim in. Great for the hundreds of beautiful horseshoe crabs and humongous snapping turtles. But I wouldn't consider this a beach of any kind. There's no breeze like at the regular beaches. There are no waves. The water is not even salt water. Just brackish and quite filthy. However it is a good place to bring the kids for the day and have a picnic
