Interesting piece of history
Great collection of historical items to show what life was like in Stern. I am especially interested in life in the coal camps as my great, great grandparents lived and worked the mines.
I was expecting it to be more about coal mining and was a little disappointed. It's worth a stroll through if you are in the area and having lunch at the Whistle Stop
We went through the museum after a mine tour. Having seen the mine, lots of the museum displays made more sense. Tools, buildings etc. it’s quick and easy, well payed out and interesting. All voluntee...
We rode the train to Barthell Coal Camp and then came here. The museum touched on many of the things we learned from the mine tour and added more depth to our learning experience.
